Blood donations often decline during the summer months as school breaks and family vacations disrupt regular donation schedules.

To help replenish the blood supply and ensure life-saving blood products are available ahead of the busy fall and holiday travel seasons, South Texas Health System and South Texas Blood & Tissue are calling on the community to donate at an upcoming blood drive.

Just one blood donation can save up to three lives.

Be the difference this fall: schedule your appointment, roll up your sleeve and help give someone a second chance at life.

Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are always welcome. As a thank-you, all donors will receive special gifts from South Texas Blood and be entered into a drawing for two tickets to the UTRGV vs. UTSA football game and a two-night stay at a downtown San Antonio hotel.
